I was gifted with an unexpected mentor in 1994 when I walked into a new age bookstore, not really even sure of what I was looking for.  The owner came over to me and handed me a book and said, “Take this home and read it, then come back to discuss it”.  I also heard, “It’s about time you showed up.”

I somehow trusted this and did as she asked and came back, only to be given a second book to read with no discussion at all. Surprisingly, I was opening up to greater possibilities of who I was. 

A short time later, she told me I was a Toner but I had no idea what that was. 

She told me to go to the river and Tone for 21 days then come back.  I went and sat at the river, but I did not understand what to do and could not figure out what to sing. 

This was intriguing as music and singing was my greatest passion, but I only lasted 5 days and was quite discouraged not knowing what to sing.  I went back to tell her I was not sure I can do this. 

I was then told that Toning has no words and to go back and keep going back, making the sounds or tones that just come to me.   

That’s when I first became aware that I would be sharing my gifts with others, my new journey had begun and there was no turning back.  I was quickly invited to “Tone” for group gatherings and later did my own Healing Concerts to teach about sound and how it moves us.

Throwing me into the fire so to speak and with few words was my mentor’s way of teaching, and although it was at times discouraging, it worked! 

At this point I also had to learn to meditate which was not easy for me.  As a typical, multi-tasking Gemini, I had trouble quieting my mind so I learned to put on music that had no words to relax to. 

I went so deep the second time I meditated that I was watching myself from up behind myself.  That scared me at first but then I got the hang of it. 

Since my motto is “What’s new, hat’s next?” I kept going back to see this woman for more.  At her suggestion, I learned Reiki to protect my own energies as I was a sponge in the beginning. 

I became aware that my important journey had begun and I would be sharing my gifts with others from that moment forward. I began doing Reiki with my Massage and then added Toning to my sessions. 

I also started the “Energy Exchange” where Gifters would share modalities so that people could come to learn about and experience them.

New modalities later presented themselves to me and I became more aware of frequencies and bioenergetic healing. 

I also became an Akashic Record Reader.  This has allowed me to assist many to go deeper on their own journey of discovery, and this truly is my joy to share.
